Needles and Seeds in the Trees:
Community Acupuncture in the Forest

Description of workshop:
Join Jewels for a restorative session of community style acupuncture and nature therapy in the forest.

This workshop will take place outside and will begin with a small discussion about the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system and how acupuncture can help us to unwind from life’s daily stressors and relax on a deeper level. Participants will receive acupuncture in their ears and on distal points of their body (hands & feet) while seated in a circle in the forest. With needles in, we will then close our eyes and allow our mind and bodies to settle in as we rest and relax our nervous system, grounding into our breath and connecting with the energy of the trees around us. After the needles come out, ear seeds will be offered to those who want to continue to activate the pressure points in the ears after our circle.
